Montpelier Perks: The Capital City Farmers’ Market
Tuesday, July 28th, 2009
Owning Montpelier real estate has its perks: history, culture and proximity to politics in action. Of course Vermont’s beauty if high on this list of perks, but Vermont’s bounty might top the list, especially in August. Take one trip to the Capital City Farmer’s Market and you’ll agree that Montpelier’s outdoor market is peerless.
The Montpelier Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (May – October) on State Street in downtown Montpelier, near the end of Elm Street. Here you’ll find fresh local organic produce, local crafts, and local music.
The first week of August is National Farmers’ Market Week.
The event culminates in a pizza baking competition, open to all ages.
