An examination of Central Vermont real estate shows that home prices are holding steady. Sellers can sleep easier knowing that Central Vermont homes are not seeing prices dropping as they still are in other areas of the nation. Another positive aspect is that there are very few foreclosure properties in the Central Vermont area as well.

The real estate tracking website Trulia.com shows that Montpelier real estate data is showing an increase of 1.7% in listing price compared with a week ago. In addition there are currently 75 Montpelier homes listed for sale and only 1 distressed property. Likewise data for Northfield Vermont shows 60 homes currently listed for sale and no distressed homes for sale, with listing price up .9% compared with a week ago.

Vermont is currently benefiting from low unemployment, currently at 4.6, well below the national average of 8.2%. Clearly Central Vermont real estate is aided by a stronger employment level across the state.
