Independence Day Celebrated Day Early in Montpelier VT

Independence Day is celebrated a day early in Montpelier VT.  Tuesday, July 3rd, there will be an entire day dedicated to America’s birthday festivities in Montpelier Vermont. Around town there is everything from a pancake breakfast at the Episcopal Church at 8 am to a mile road race at 6 pm, and a myriad of other options in between. On the State House Lawn there are activities beginning at 3 pm, running through to the fireworks display which is set to light up the sky over Montpelier at 9:30 pm.

A rundown of events taking place on the State House Lawn:

• 3 to 5:30 pm, there will be a Kids Zone offering fun activities like face painting and a bouncy house.
• 3 to 3:30 pm, there will be a concert featuring children’s music.
• 3:30 to 4:30 pm, a juggling act will hit the stage.
• 3:30 to 6 pm celebrate America by hula hooping.
• 4:30 to 5 pm, there will be a variety of dance performances.
• 5 to 6 pm, the sounds of a New Orleans Jazz band.
• 7:15 to 8:15 pm, the Green Mountain Youth Symphony.
• 8:15 to 8:30 pm, a reading from the Declaration of Independence.
• 9:30 pm, the fireworks will be lit.

This is just a sampling of Independence Day festivities scheduled in Montpelier Vermont this Tuesday, July 3rd.
